No More Compromise

Too often we welcome compromise because we don’t want anyone to “be/feel left out” when the biblical fact is that people will be left out and left behind. Of course we want everyone to be in Christ and prosper, but we can’t flip the scriptures to accommodate anyone’s practice of rebellion & disobedience. There are things that we just should not do, practice, and associate with as believers. Period. And that is clear from the Word of God. But it just seems that we want everyone’s good intentions to be good enough, so instead of holding God’s people accountable to His Word, we justify wrongdoing, including our own. And that is a delusion. Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Yes, we love everyone. But everything that everyone decides to do in this life is not necessarily acceptable on the narrow path that leads to life just because of the simple fact that we don’t want anyone to feel left out. Study the Word. If we don’t want to be left out or to have anyone left behind, then we need to repent, believe, and follow Christ in obedience and encourage others to do the same. We have to grow and mature and help others to do likewise–to deny self, take up their crosses, and follow Christ. Godly compassion shouldn’t lead to compromise. To minister to others in an eternally effective way, we need firm understanding of the Truth. To help people towards the right track, we need to first identify it ourselves and stand firm in the reality of the Word of God. No more compromise. Be blessed and encouraged today.
